Textile Youth Carnival 2026 Brings Together Industry Leaders and Future Textile Professionals

On 3 July 2026, the Textile Engineers Society (TES) successfully organized the Textile Youth Carnival 2026 at the Bangladesh Film Archive, Agargaon, Dhaka. The event brought together distinguished industry leaders, academicians, textile professionals, and hundreds of aspiring textile engineering students to celebrate innovation, leadership, and career development within Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry.

Among the distinguished guests was Md. Shahmij Bokul, Managing Director of B A Fashionwear Ltd. and Chairman of the BGMEA Standing Committee on Small Cottage Industry, who attended the event as an honored guest and shared valuable insights with the country’s future textile engineers.

Inspiring Future Industry Leaders

During his keynote address, Md. Shahmij Bokul emphasized the importance of youth involvement in shaping the future of Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry. He encouraged students to focus on continuous learning, technological innovation, sustainability, and leadership while preparing themselves for the rapidly evolving global marketplace.

He highlighted that Bangladesh’s greatest strength lies not only in its manufacturing capacity but also in its skilled workforce and young talent. By developing technical expertise and embracing innovation, future textile engineers can play a significant role in maintaining Bangladesh’s position as one of the world’s leading apparel-exporting nations.

Connecting Industry with Academia

The Textile Youth Carnival served as an important platform for strengthening the relationship between industry professionals and academic institutions. Students had the opportunity to interact directly with experienced industry leaders, exchange ideas, and gain valuable career guidance from professionals working across various sectors of the textile and apparel industry.

The event featured motivational speeches, networking sessions, award presentations, and discussions on the future of Bangladesh’s textile sector. Such initiatives help bridge the gap between classroom education and real-world industrial experience, preparing graduates to meet industry demands more effectively.

Recognizing Excellence and Leadership

The program also included recognition and appreciation for individuals who have made meaningful contributions to the textile sector. Distinguished guests participated in award presentations and honored young talents for their dedication, creativity, and commitment to professional excellence.

The atmosphere reflected the industry’s shared vision of nurturing innovation, encouraging collaboration, and empowering the next generation of textile professionals.
